autobiography 
My name is Heather Hayes, and in May 2017, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Communications from Pace University. I earned a Master's degree in Media and Communication Arts at Pace in 2019. I have vast knowledge in several fields spanning the Communication Arts discipline, including: casting, cinematography, photography, video editing, screenwriting, public relations writing, communications research, studio art, acting, and web design. I worked at The Music Theatre of Connecticut as their Public Relations & Marketing Intern, where I managed all social media accounts, produced photographic and video content as promotional pieces, and wrote public relations copy. As of October 2017, I have been hired as MTC's Photographer & Videographer, and I continue to produce my original series "The Dressing Room Diaries" for the theatre. During the Summer of 2018, I completed my graduate internship at HooplaHa/Only Good News TV. I worked as their Production/Post-Production Intern. Currently, I am an adjunct instructor at Pace, where I teach Public Speaking, Multimedia Storytelling, and Event Planning for PR. I am slated to teach Public Speaking, Casting, and Producing Corporate Video during the Fall 2020 semester. Additionally, I am a faculty advisor for Entrance One, the MCVA department's PR club which executes all department events.

In 2019, I received the Outstanding Graduate Achievement Commencement Award for my academic achievement and commitment to the field of media and communications. In 2017, I received the Media, Communication, and Visual Arts Commencement Award for my outstanding achievements as a Communications student. I was chosen to perform the National Anthem and Alma Mater at my undergraduate Commencement ceremony. I received the Pace Top 100 Scholar Award three years in a row. Additionally, I won the Vox Arts & Literary Magazine Cover Photo Contest in 2015. My photography has also been spotlighted in Pace's award-winning newspaper, The Pace Chronicle.
